This is Day One of VC SELPA's Behavior Intervention Training.  The focus of this workshop is to "provide an environment in all instructional areas that promote appropriate behavior from our students and supports their attempts to reach that goal."  (Mesaros)  The philosophy is to teach the student to be in control of his/her behavior, rather than be controlled through intimidation.

All professional staff working with behavior interventions are welcome to attend.

Participants who attend all three full day training dates in the series may choose to take an FBA/BIP Certification of Competency through Ventura County SELPA.  (Please note that if you are planning to take the certification test, you will be required to register for the December 19 Refresher, "FBA to CBIP"). 

**Please note that you are not required to complete the certification process. You may register for any of these trainings individually
